News Briefs: Extending Care
to Victims of Typhoon Tokage
On October 20, 2004, the unusually powerful Typhoon
Tokage made landfall on the coast of Japan, bringing with it devastating
floods and mudslides that caused heavy casualties. Much concerned about
the welfare of the victims, Master promptly requested that Japanese
disciples organize an emergency relief team to provide them with material
aid and emotional comfort. Upon receiving Master's message, the Japanese
centers immediately launched a relief operation, details of which will
be reported in the next issue of The Supreme Master Ching Hai News.
