On January 1, 2004, Thai fellow practitioners
gathered in their country¡¦s capital city to prepare
three hundred gift sets and distribute them to monks at the Monastic
Hospital of Bangkok, a government-run facility that accepts all ailing
monastics. This occasion provided an excellent opportunity to share
the universal Truth, help the monks create an affinity with Master
and provide them with material comfort.
The gift sets included nutritious food, towels, soap, tooth brushes,
tissues, inhalers and Master¡¦s sample booklets.
Each year on January 1, many Thai people typically
gather at the Hospital to offer food to the ailing monks. So the activity
generated an exceptionally vibrant atmosphere, and the Thai initiates
used this special occasion to distribute more sample booklets. The
activities proceeded in an energetic, organized and efficient manner
as Master¡¦s infinite power and love facilitated the
project.
After
this Truth-sharing event, many fellow practitioners happily made their
way to a two-day retreat held from January 2-3, 2004 in Chachengsao
Province. Thus, Thai fellow practitioners joyfully opened the new
year through spiritual practice, following Master¡¦s
path with strong will and concentration.
