Vegetarian Exhibition on Great
American Meat-out Day
[Michigan] On March
8, 2002, fellow practitioners from the Michigan Center participated
in the Great American Meat-out fair in Detroit. In addition to serving
pure, lovingly prepared vegetarian food, the initiates also presented
Master's lecture videos at the venue, and distributed sample booklets
to interested guests.
A woman pursuing a career in law told us that she became
a vegetarian after watching Master's video at a friend's home a year
ago, and wanted very much to learn more about Master's teachings. Due
to spatial constraints at the exhibition booth, we had to lower the
posters introducing Master and the Quan Yin Method. Nonetheless, many
visitors squatted in front of the posters to read them in detail, oblivious
to the surrounding crowd.
As the day progressed, fellow practitioners were very
happy to observe that more and more people were getting a chance to
learn about Master's teachings and realize the importance of following
a vegetarian diet through the Center's participation in the Great American
Meat-out.
