On Lunar New Year's eve, fellow practitioners
bring Master's gift money and love to destitute households in
remote areas of Formosa.

As the Lunar New Year approached, members
of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association distributed
New Year's gift money in loving concern for destitute households in
Hsinchih Village, Wanluan Rural Township, Pingtung County. Village
Chief Wang He-ching noted that the remoteness of the Village was the
main reason for widespread poverty in his community. He also expressed
his appreciation for the many relief and assistance efforts made by
our Association during his twelve years in office. Fellow practitioners
often undertake voluntary environmental protection work in the area,
offer free medical treatment, and distribute gift money during major
festivals. This recent activity created a warm atmosphere of Lunar
New Year gaiety for needy residents. And all those who benefited felt
gratitude to the Association as well.
