The arrangement of the position of the two trees was superb. Only half of one of the trees was painted into the picture. Master said, "Only in this way could people continue to imagine how the tree grows taller. It would be meaningless if the whole tree could be seen!"
Trees positioned on different levels of the same slope represent our inner spiritual levels, though different, but all heading for the same goal and keep growing tall. We have no fear of all the trials on our path. Our faith is strong/steady. This painting is saturated with a unique kind of lonesome beauty, signifying the solitary yet noble state of mind of a sincere spiritual practitioner. |
