Two Harmonious Truth-sharing Events
in the Southern Ocean

[Tasmania] In October and November 2005, Master’s love was extended to Tasmania, the island state 240 km (150 miles) south of Australia in the Southern Ocean, through a video seminar at Tasmania University’s Centre for the Arts in the capital Hobart, and a Convenient Method teaching session the following week at the Tasmania Center.

With the support of local initiates from Melbourne and nearby areas, the Tasmanian sisters and brothers decorated the Centre and set up a display of Master’s publications. Then glorious spring weather ushered in the event, and after all the attendees were seated Master’s video-lecture Enlightenment is the Tool for Everything was shown on a theatre-sized screen. The guests watched the lecture in hushed silence, all the while absorbing Master’s loving message, and later one reported, “There’s a nice feeling here.” An initiate also observed a sense of harmony pervading the venue. Indeed, after the showing of Master’s lecture a look of well-being was apparent on everyone’s face as many guests enquired further about the Quan Yin Method and registered to learn the Convenient Form of practice. This wonderfully light mood continued as the guests sampled an array of delicious vegetarian dishes prepared by the sisters and brothers.

Then the following Sunday the seminar’s positive energy carried on at the Tasmania Center as the Convenient Method applicants enthusiastically received instructions in the practice. Afterwards, the new practitioners reported that they had had uplifting experiences during the week since the seminar, which inspired them to ask many questions about the Quan Yin Method of meditation and register for initiation.

All in all, the Hobart video seminar and CM teaching session were memorable occasions for everyone who attended, and the initiates thank Master for Her beautiful, harmonious presence during both events. ♥

The Quan Yin Teachings Uplift a Health
and Spirituality Fair

[Perth] From November 3 - 6, 2005, initiates from the Perth Center conducted a stand at the Conscious Living Expo in Perth, Western Australia. Each year the Expo attracts a large number of visitors from all walks of life and is the only event of its kind in the region combining general spirituality and alternative health.

To interest the public in Master's teachings and the Quan Yin Method, the brothers and sisters displayed Her publications and art work, and many visitors who had never meditated before inquired about the practice and how it differs from other forms of meditation. The disciples also distributed numerous copies of The Key of Immediate Enlightenment sample booklet, along with pamphlets on Quan Yin meditation, leaving many people feeling as if they had found a most precious treasure.

When asked why they had come to the stand, the visitors often replied, “I simply felt drawn to it.” A number of guests also commented, “Master Ching Hai looks familiar but I can’t remember where I’ve seen Her before.” The initiates then suggested that Master may have visited them in a dream or they may have had contact with Her in a previous life, which most guests readily accepted.

All during the Expo the sisters and brothers felt Master’s blessing power emanating from the booth, attracting spiritual seekers and pure-hearted people of varying backgrounds. For example, next to the display a group of ladies who were raising money to fight cancer showed a natural interest in Master because to them their compassion for the sick was in line with Her teachings.

Through their participation in the 2005 Conscious Living Expo, the Perth initiates felt strengthened by their contacts with countless longing souls interested in spirituality and felt privileged to serve Master by sharing Her teachings. ♥
