The Quan Yin Method
—The Highest Martial Art

[Chungju] What is the relationship between the Quan Yin Method and the martial arts? One could find answers to this question at the Eighth Chungju World Martial Arts Festival, held from October 1 to 8, 2005 in Chungju City. For the second year in a row Seoul and Daejeon initiates participated in the event by operating a booth with the theme “Meditation and Vegetarianism,” which provided valuable information on meditation and the vegetarian lifestyle and offered free medical care and vegetarian food.

Approximately a million people attended the Festival, many of whom said they had seen the initiates at the 2004 event. Also, a number of visitors had read Master’s sample booklet and were eager to learn more about Her teachings, while others praised Master saying, “She’s beautiful!” This year more guests visited the initiate’s display than previously, with many asking detailed questions about the spiritual path. In addition, the attendees enjoyed the initiates’ vegetarian delicacies so much that long queues formed continuously in front of the booth.

The sisters and brothers also provided acupuncture, massage, cupping therapy and other medical services, which the guests enjoyed while watching one of Master’s DVD-lectures, thus benefiting both physically and spiritually. By the end of the Festival several people had learned the Convenient Method and some applied for initiation.

As Master says, “The Quan Yin Method is also a kind of martial art. With this martial art, we can conquer all kinds of negative forces within ourselves and without ourselves.” Overall, during the 2005 Chungju World Martial Arts Festival a very relaxed, blissful atmosphere prevailed in and around the Quan Yin booth, and the visitors were so open-minded and warm that it was clear God’s infinite love had conquered them all.♥

The Truth Revealed
at a Traditional Dance Festival

[Andong] From September 30-October 9, 2005 the annual Andong International Mask Dance Festival was held in Andong, a city known for its virtuous classical scholars and preservation of traditional culture. The event attracted approximately a million visitors. Along with fellow practitioners from around Korea, Andong initiates participated in the Festival by conducting two booths, one for meditation and the other to promote vegetarianism. Thus visitors learned how true well-being can be achieved through spiritual practice, vegetarianism and noble living.

With advertising balloons soaring high in the sky and many bright-faced, happy visitors, the Festival, which took place along the Nakdong River, transformed Andong into a joyful metropolis. During the celebration visitors enjoyed numerous exhibits and performances, including traditional dances from Korea, Turkey, Formosa, Russia and Sri Lanka. The event also gave people an opportunity to learn how to make traditional masks and perform lovely folk dances.

At the entrance to the Festival venue the initiates placed a beautiful photo of Master along with Her poem “Advice for Cultivating Self-Realization,” attracting the attention and admiration of many guests. Also, on October 3, a visitor experienced Master’s manifestation form, and thinking it was really Master he had witnessed, returned two days later to see Her again only to discover that it was Her manifestation body! Another guest watched two of Master’s DVD lectures, immediately applied for initiation into the Quan Yin Method, and the following day returned with his family to watch Master’s lectures for several hours.

At the food booth the initiates served vegetarian hamburgers and Japanese sushi, which were so popular that the initiates could not keep up with the demand. In addition, since Master’s teachings and photos have been published in the local newspaper Life and Times for the last five years, many Andong residents were familiar with Her name and teachings.

During the 2005 Andong International Mask Dance Festival, the Korean initiates became like a family, encouraging each other, promoting the vegetarian lifestyle and conveying Master’s message, and thanks to Her infinite blessings and love their work was successful. So they are deeply grateful to Master for arranging this ideal opportunity to learn and grow in spiritual practice.♥
