After group meditation on Ching Hai Day 2002, local fellow and Convenient Method practitioners, along with their families and friends, gathered at the Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden, where they formed a circle of love around Master's sculpture. The group observed a moment of quiet prayer and meditation for world peace, world love, Truth and understanding and later took part in a festive vegetarian feast and had a very "Happy Ching Hai Day!"

On the lovely occasion of Supreme Master Ching Hai Day, San Francisco initiates along with their families and friends gathered at the San Jose Vegetarian House for a joyful celebration. On the following day, in the pure spirit of the event, initiates sat in quiet meditation in a one-day retreat and celebrated inwardly. After Sunday's group meditation session the following day, the practitioners enjoyed a "five-star pot-luck dinner," with dancing and sing-alongs a la carte.
