We
practitioners should train ourselves to become accustomed
to any situation whenever we have an opportunity. Otherwise,
we won't know what to do when a situation arises. After we
train ourselves well, we can handle any situation. Therefore,
we should not just care about physical comforts, even if they
affect our spiritual practice. We should meditate whenever
we can because it is most precious and beneficial. We should
not sacrifice our spiritual practice for worldly pleasures;
instead, we should sacrifice worldly pleasures for spiritual
practice.
Only
when we are in this human form can we go beyond the three
worlds and be liberated from the cycle of life and death,
into which countless kinds of sentient beings reincarnate.
It takes these sentient beings eons to reincarnate into human
beings. Sometimes it takes even longer. We should understand
these things, so that we won't be attached to worldly comforts
like sleeping, eating, pleasures and all that physical garbage.
